Nancy Lesic

A former journalist and veteran press secretary, Nancy Lesic brings considerable experience in media relations, crisis communications and issues management. Her extensive work in the Cleveland area has resulted in strong relationships with political officials, business leaders and the media. She opened her public affairs-focused public relations agency with partner Jenny Camper in 2002.
Lesic has established a strong rapport with all sectors of the Greater Cleveland community and is often involved in activities targeted at raising public awareness, building community support and working to build mutually-beneficial relationships on behalf of her clients. She has worked extensively with political leaders or their staffs and is familiar with the intricacies of working within government.
Lesic has built a niche working with real estate developers involved in retail, residential and commercial projects. She has led communications on a number of development and urban rehab projects, including directing public engagement and legislative relations on efforts such as the City of Cleveland’s lakefront planning effort, the revitalization of Cleveland’s Flats neighborhood and other large-scale public works projects.
With clients ranging from Greater Cleveland Partnership, the Port Authority, Charter One Bank, real estate developers, law firms and other private, public and non-profit clients, Lesic thrives on the work the firm is doing on behalf of its clients. No other firm has built such a strong focus on civic projects and brought its entrepreneurial spirit to the betterment of Northeast Ohio.
From 1994 to 2000, Lesic served as press secretary to Cleveland Mayor Michael R. White, working extensively with local and national media. She guided communications for the nationally-renowned campaign to "Save Our Browns", the construction and opening of Cleveland's new professional football stadium, the opening of the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame and many other events and economic development projects.
Lesic began her professional career as a correspondent for the Lake County News-Herald. She holds a bachelor’s degree from Cleveland State University where she studied political science and economics.
A graduate of the Leadership Cleveland class of 2000, Lesic has served as a speaker or panelist for the Ohio Alliance, International Council of Shopping Centers, Greater Cleveland Real Estate Organization Leadership Forum, Society of Professional Journalists and Center for Families and Children. She was named one of Cleveland’s Most Interesting People by Cleveland Magazine and is a member of Crain’s Cleveland Business “40 Under 40.” She is a member of Commercial Real Estate Women of Cleveland.
