Jenny Camper serves as President of Lesic & Camper Communications. She brings more than 20 years of experience in statewide media relations, government, campaigns and strategic communications to the firm.

Under her leadership, the Columbus office works with corporations, non-profits, national and state associations, issues campaigns and government agencies. Jenny’s current client list includes the Pharmaceutical Research and Manufacturers of America (PhRMA), the Ohio Air Quality Development Authority, Credit Suisse and GlaxoSmithKline.

For PhRMA, Jenny promotes various prescription drug assistance programs and chronic disease management to Ohio health and social service advocates, patients and elected officials.  She and the Columbus office team have presented a number of statewide and regional conferences focused on building the bio-pharmaceutical industry in Ohio, providing access to medicines and building awareness of the impact of chronic disease.  Jenny also supports the work of PhRMA lobbyists and industry advocates through strategic communications.

Jenny has served on the campaign teams for statewide ballot issues, including as campaign manager for the 2002 campaign with the Ohioans Against Unsafe Drug Laws (OAUDL).  OAUDL was successful in defeating State Issue1 and handed the national proponents their largest margin of loss to date.  In 2005, Jenny worked with opponents to the Tax and Expenditure Limitation Amendment, who ultimately stopped the TEL Amendment from advancing to the ballot.  In 2008, Jenny worked on the grassroots team for the Ohio Coalition for Responsible Lending, which handily defeated a well-financed campaign and upheld a law that lowered interest rates of payday lenders.

For her work on the opening of Nationwide Arena in Columbus, Jenny was part of the team that received the Public Relations Society of America’s highest honor, the Silver Anvil award.

Prior to agency work, Jenny served as deputy press secretary and communications manager to former Governor George V. Voinovich. Jenny also served as press secretary and communications director for former State Treasurer J. Kenneth Blackwell.

Jenny graduated with a bachelor’s degree in journalism from The Ohio State University and has completed coursework for her master’s degree in journalism from Ohio University.

Jenny serves on the Board of Trustees for Alvis House, a community corrections agency with facilities in Columbus, Dayton, Chillicothe and Toledo. She also serves on the Board of Trustees for Prevent Blindness-Ohio, a statewide voluntary health agency.
