Carol Zimmerman brings to Lesic & Camper more than 30 years of communications, public relations and public affairs experience in the public and private sectors. She understands the communications process from both sides of the desk, having been a client and a consultant in her career.

A native of Pittsburgh, Carol is a graduate of The Ohio State University with bachelor’s and master’s degrees in journalism.

Carol works with a wide variety of clients at Lesic & Camper. She has been instrumental in public outreach and education on a variety of initiatives on behalf of the Pharmaceutical Research and Manufacturers of America (PhRMA).

In addition, she leads the firm’s work for the Ohio Air Quality Development Authority, including promotion and public education efforts involving Ohio’s leadership in advanced energy technology. She also works with GlaxoSmithKline, with an advocacy group representing Columbus human services organizations, and with advocates supporting a state early learning program.

Carol is a former journalist who began her career with the Pittsburgh Press. She served as assistant press secretary to former Ohio Attorney General William J. Brown prior to entering the corporate world in the utility and telecommunications industries, directing public relations, marketing communications strategy and implementation, and advertising.

She later joined Zimmerman Public Relations as senior vice president responsible for overseeing all aspects of account service and business development. In 1992, she began her own public relations consulting firm, Communication Consultants Group, which served a variety of clients in the corporate, government and nonprofit arenas. She joined Steiner/Lesic Communications as senior account manager in 2003 and became vice president in 2005.

Carol is a member of the Board of Trustees of FIRSTLINK and the Dublin Irish Festival Committee and is an active community volunteer.  She is an accredited member of the Public Relations Society of America and has received regional and national recognition for excellence in public relations and public affairs program development and implementation.

She lives in Dublin with her daughter, Elizabeth.
